Embers March 2026 Update

OK, it’s been a bit since my last update, so let me catch everyone up on what we’ve been doing.
Since November, we’ve made significant updates across our toolset, including adding an entirely new world-building application. At the same time, we’ve been working to better integrate our three applications, Embers Imagine, Embers Vault, and Embers Play, so they function more like parts of a single system while still keeping the specialization that makes each one useful.
Embers Imagine is the latest tool in our toolset. It is a full worldbuilding system that allows you to build and organize settings, locations, lore, factions, NPCs, and other world elements in a structured way. Your worlds can grow organically while staying organized, searchable, and connected to the rest of your stuff in Embers Vault and Embers Play.
Embers Vault has also seen quite a few updates recently. We’ve expanded the functionality beyond just player characters and now include a dedicated section where GMs can create and store their monsters. Plus we imported all the 5e/5.5e monsters into our stock content. In addition, in the background, we made some pretty big platform updates so if you happen to see anything odd that we missed, let us know.
Embers Play has also had plenty of additions. In our battlemaps, we’ve added an initiative and condition tracker which makes running encounters a lot easier. We’ve also rolled out a few smaller improvements, including new tools to help GMs manage tokens and campaigns, along with a number of performance updates so pages that used to feel sluggish should be loading instantly now.
We’d also like to extend an offer to the community. In the past we’ve had Reddit boards and other social spaces around Embers, but over time those tended to fade out as activity slowed. If anyone is interested in helping get something like that going again, we’d be happy to participate. We’re also always interested in hearing ideas and suggestions for improving the system, either here or through a community space if someone ends up setting one up.
As always, thank you for your support.
